Behaviour Interventionist
Job Description
We are looking to hire a part-time Behavioural Interventionist to work with a 4-year old boy diagnosed with autism. You will be working under the supervision of a Behaviour Consultant to implement a play-based intervention program based on the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis. His intervention sessions will occur both at home and in the community, and focuses on communication skills, play skills, social skills, and self-care skills. Hours: 2 sessions per week on Monday and Friday mornings, 2 hours per session Location: Burnaby (near Lougheed Mall) Qualifications: - Strong play skills - Background in related field is an asset (e.g. psychology, education, education assistant) - Experience working with children and/or children with autism - Minimum 19 years of age - Clear criminal record check completed within last 12 months - Minimum 1 year commitment Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 4-6 per week Salary: $20.00-$35.00 per hour Schedule:
- Day shift
- Morning shift
- No weekends
