Job Description

Our independent Islamic elementary and secondary school is inviting applications for a full time teacher to teach a K-2 class along with Art to grades 3-9. Given the student-teacher ratio and mixed grades, we are looking for a progressive and creative educator who can adapt to this setting and who sees the benefit of personalized education in a multi-aged classroom.

Subjects Taught


K-2: All subjects excluding Islamic Sciences and Arabic Art 3-9: During the Islamic Sciences and Arabic courses you will teach art classes

Responsibilities


Prepare courses and lessons for students according to the BC curriculum and the school's teaching philosophy. Teach students using a systematic plan of lessons, discussions, audio-visual presentations, and nature. Lead students in activities to promote their physical, mental and social development.
Qualifications


Bachelor of Education Valid BC Teaching Certificate An understanding of the Islamic Religion or willingness to work in an Islamic School.
