We are seeking a dedicated and passionate High School Teacher (and tutors) for grades 9-12 Core French credit courses delivery to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a positive and engaging learning environment that fosters student growth and development. This role requires a strong commitment to curriculum development, classroom management, and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs. The teacher will work collaboratively with colleagues and engage with parents to support student success, in both a classroom setting, and tutorial support capacity.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
Utilize learning technology to enhance instructional delivery and student engagement.
Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a conducive learning atmosphere.
Provide tutoring and additional Core French support to students needing extra assistance.
Assess student progress through various evaluation methods, including tests, assignments, and observations.
Foster literacy education through reading and writing activities tailored to individual student needs.
Collaborate with special education staff to accommodate students with diverse learning requirements.
Communicate regularly with parents regarding student performance and classroom activities.
Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices.
Experience
Proven experience working in-person with children in an educational setting is essential.
Background in teaching and/or tutoring Core French to high school age students is preferred.
Familiarity with curriculum development and lesson planning techniques.
Proficiency in teaching other subjects too is a plus.
Strong French and English writing skills for creating instructional materials and communicating effectively with students and parents.
Experience in classroom management strategies that promote a positive learning environment.
