Position Overview

We are seeking

a full time Math Teacher

to teach high school Mathematics courses tailored for international students. The ideal candidates will not only understand the unique challenges faced by ESL learners, but will also have the

patience, empathy, and dedication to help each student grow academically and personally

. Creativity and differentiation in using multiple teaching methods is essential to enhance students' abilities in understanding and using mathematics.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, edit, and deliver engaging lessons for high school students. Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs and proficiency levels of students. Use a variety of instructional techniques and technology to enhance learning outcomes. Provide individualized support and feedback to help students understand complex and difficult tasks. Inspire a love of learning and create a supportive classroom environment. Assess and monitor student progress, maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Education, or related field. Experience teaching Mathematics at the high school level, preferably to international students. Strong understanding of the Ontario curriculum and knowledge of best approaches for compliance. Passion for education and a caring attitude towards student growth. Creative approach to lesson planning and classroom engagement.

Preferred Skills

Experience working in multicultural classrooms. Proficiency in integrating technology into instruction.

Pay: $28.00-$30.00 per hour
