Position Overview

We are seeking an organized and enthusiastic High School Math Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons across a range of math subjects, promoting critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Preference will be given to candidates certified by the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) or those eligible for certification.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging lessons that align with the Ontario Secondary School Curriculum. Teach math courses at various levels, including Algebra, Geometry, and Calculus. Maintain a well-organized and structured classroom environment conducive to learning. Use diverse teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles. Assess student progress using formative and summative assessment tools, providing constructive feedback. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture that encourages participation and respect. Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum materials and share best practices. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to support student success.

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field. Strong classroom organization and management skills. Passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.

Preferred:

Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification or eligibility to obtain certification. Experience teaching high school math subjects. Familiarity with integrating technology and innovative teaching methods.

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
