Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Basketball Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the game and a commitment to educating young athletes in both the fundamentals of basketball and the importance of teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with youth and has a desire to foster their growth both on and off the court.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement training programs that enhance players' skills, including shooting, dribbling, passing, and defense. Lead weekly sessions that focus on individual skill development as well as team strategies. Educate players about the rules of basketball, sportsmanship, and the importance of maintaining a positive attitude. Create a safe and supportive environment for all players to learn and grow. Monitor player progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their performance. Foster teamwork by encouraging collaboration among players during training sessions. Ensure all equipment is maintained in good condition and is used safely during sessions.

Requirements

A passion for teaching young athletes about the game of basketball. Previous coaching experience or strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals is preferred. Ability to educate players effectively, demonstrating techniques clearly. Strong communication skills to interact with players, parents, and other coaches. Must be able to commit to regular weekly scheduled days. CPR/First Aid certification is a plus but not required; willingness to obtain certification is encouraged.

Pay: $17.20-$30.00 per hour
