As a Bartender in the Arbutus Room, you set the tone for elevated, memorable dining experiences. With a focus on refined service, locally inspired cuisine, and a curated beverage program, you craft exceptional cocktails, offer thoughtful recommendations, and create a bar environment that feels both polished and welcoming. By maintaining high standards of preparation, organization, and teamwork, you help ensure service flows seamlessly throughout the evening.

A day in the life

Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, and beverages with accuracy, artistry, and consistency Offer pairing suggestions and recommendations based on the menu and guest preferences Create a welcoming atmosphere through attentive, personable service Keep the bar clean, organized, and well-stocked throughout service Monitor inventory and communicate restocking needs proactively Assist with glassware, garnish prep, and mise en place before and during shifts Complete accurate transactions and cash-outs using the POS system Collaborate with the dining room team to support pacing and service flow Stay current on wine, cocktail, and menu knowledge

What you'll bring

Minimum 1 year bartending experience, ideally in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment Confidence behind the bar with strong multitasking skills Solid knowledge of cocktails, wine, and spirits; WSET or similar certification is an asset Clear and professional communication skills with a guest-focused approach A collaborative mindset and willingness to support the service team Pride in maintaining a clean, organized bar with attention to detail A valid Serving It Right certification
