JUNIOR BARTENDER

Position Description

Prepare and serve alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages to members and their guests as well as providing food service as required. Ensure the bar's operations are performing to the standards of management.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

Ensure bar is properly set up and stocked for the shift, which includes but is not limited to, preparation of condiments, glasses, alcohol, juices etc. Prepare and deliver beverages as ordered Take member orders, prepare, and serve Wash bar glasses as required Continuously clean bar area, glasswashers, bar coolers, surfaces and storage areas as required Set up portable bar for banquets as required Keep all storage areas cleaned and organized Ensure all products are stored and returned to their appropriate places Exhibit a pleasant demeanor and be friendly and approachable towards members and guests Balancing of cash sales as required

Qualifications Required

Good customer service and interpersonal skills Good organizational skills The ability to work effectively and efficiently General knowledge of wine and proper wine service The ability to work independently Must have a good knowledge of suggestive selling techniques Must have general product knowledge of all alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages Must be reliable Must be able to direct bus/bar helpers as required Basic knowledge of Jonas software Must be capable of lifting 35 lbs from the floor to waist height

Additional Requirements

Must be of legal age to serve alcohol (18 years old) Must be Smart Serve certified

Scheduled Hours of Work: Must be available for all shifts
