O'Leary's Pub is the oldest Irish pub in Saint John, offering a lively, welcoming atmosphere for locals and visitors alike. We are looking for a skilled and charismatic bartender to join our team.

As a Bartender at O'Leary's Pub, you will be the face of our hospitality, creating memorable experiences for our guests while serving drinks, maintaining the bar area, and ensuring smooth operations. We're looking for someone with a passion for Live Music, strong customer service skills, and a positive, upbeat attitude.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in a timely and professional manner. Interact with customers in a friendly, attentive, and professional manner to create a welcoming atmosphere. Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately, ensuring a smooth checkout process. Keep the bar stocked and clean, ensuring all supplies are available during peak service times. Monitor guest behavior and ensure that all legal requirements and responsible alcohol service guidelines are followed. Maintain a calm demeanor in fast-paced and high-energy environments, especially during live events. Adhere to all health and safety regulations and O'Leary's Pub policies. Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

Previous bartending experience preferred, especially in a high-volume setting. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to multitask, stay organized, and handle pressure. Strong knowledge of cocktails, beer, spirits, and Irish drinks. Must be of legal drinking age and hold any required certifications (ie Responsible Beverage). Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and a team player. Knowledge of the local area and its traditions is a plus.
