We operate two (2) adjoining properties - Sheraton Parkway Toronto North Hotel and Best Western Parkway Hotel, conveniently located at Highway 7 and Leslie Street in Richmond Hill. We are looking for a bartender with an outgoing, service oriented personality to join our exciting Spirits Lounge team. The position will be scheduled to work a minimum of two (2) to three (3) shifts per week, generally Sunday and Monday. Flexibility with available to work additional shifts if/when required is an asset. This position reports directly to the Outlets Manager and/or the Director of F&B.

- Set up of the bar area in accordant with brand/service standards

- Professionally taking, preparing and serving drink and/or food orders from guests and patrons in a prompt manner in accordance with brand and hotel service standards

- Offer guests and patrons options and upsells

- Exercise control over liquor inventory at all times

- Maintain the cleanliness of the bar area at all times

- Perform side duties such as cleaning, garnish preparation, miscellaneous preparation, stocking, etc

- Break down the bar after the completion of service, storing liquor, supplies and equipment according to hotel standards

- Comply with LLBO requirements, serving alcohol with care and attention to rules and regulations

- Respond to guests' concerns, complaints and accidents, elevating to Manager on duty where necessary

- Abide by hotel and provincial safety rules and regulations

- Other duties as may be assigned by the Outlets Manager, Director of F&B, and/or General Manager,

- Must have a minimum of one (1) year prior bartending experience

- Must be social, engaging and enjoy meeting people from all walks of life

- Must be detail oriented with ability to multi-task

- Must be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all guests, patrons, fellow associates and managers at all times

- Must be able to stand during entire shift

- Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and written with all level of associates and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner

- Must have Smart Serve certification

- Must have excellent knowledge of all beverage products

- Must have prior POS systems experience

- Must be able to carry up to 20 lbs

- Must portray a friendly, warm and welcoming demeanour at all times

- Must have the ability to speak English clearly, distinctly and cordially with guests and employees
