to join our team. As a Barista, you will craft espresso-based beverages, prepare specialty coffees, and support the bartending team in delivering a polished guest experience. You will be an important part of La Vecchia's hospitality, ensuring that every cappuccino, latte, and espresso meets our high standards.
Responsibilities
Assist bartenders with the preparation of drinks and cocktails as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces.
Stock and replenish supplies, including liquor, mixers, garnishes, and ice.
Handle bussing duties by clearing tables and returning used items to the kitchen or bar area.
Operate POS systems (Aloha POS or Micros POS) for processing orders and payments.
Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests and ensuring their needs are met.
Support food preparation and catering services during events as required.
Assist with cash handling and cashiering duties when necessary.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy shifts.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a bar or restaurant setting is preferred, particularly in nightlife or banquet environments.
Familiarity with food handling practices and food service operations.
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Experience with cash handling and basic cashiering responsibilities.
A background in hospitality or kitchen experience is a plus.
Knowledge of cleaning procedures and equipment maintenance is beneficial.
