Overview

We are looking for a seasonal Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service and food preparation, with a keen interest in coffee and beverage crafting. As a Barista, you will be responsible for creating an inviting atmosphere for our customers while delivering high-quality beverages and food items. Your role will involve using POS systems, to efficiently process orders and manage transactions as well as crafting specialty coffee and cocktails as needed. This is a seasonal position with opportunity to stay with us full time.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items with precision and care Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling practices Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace, adhering to food safety standards Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing inquiries or concerns Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality Assist in food preparation and serving as needed, following all food handling guidelines Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and enhance customer experiences

Qualifications

Previous barista experience or experience in the food industry is required with the ability to create consistent latte art Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele Familiarity with POS systems is a plus Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations related to food handling is essential Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required

Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: From $17.60 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 35 per week
