The Bar Supervisor will assist with leading the beverage team with all duties involved in execution of the beverage operation. They will assist with preparing beverages for guests and/or beverage servers in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner according to standards. They will practice prudent portion controls, set up the bar according to standards, and maintain inventories up to par. They will also follow proper closing procedures, lock up and store beverages, and adhere to all state, federal, and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to the serving of alcoholic beverages. Responsibilities:

xc2xb7 Constantly. Maintain an open line of communication for the distribution of pertinent information.
xc2xb7 Constantly. Maintain scheduling and labor costs.
xc2xb7 Constantly. Promote employee empowerment.
xc2xb7 Constantly. Report all unsafe conditions immediately.
xc2xb7 Occasionally. Assist with selection, training, supervision, development of employees according to Davidson policies and procedures.
xc2xb7 Constantly. Use proper guidelines for control of pour costs.
xc2xb7 Frequently. Issue and record all banquet liquor and wine.
xc2xb7 Frequently. Monitor staffing of beverage outlets.
xc2xb7 Frequently. Perform in the capacity of any position supervised.
xc2xb7 Frequently. Stock and set up all banquet bars.
xc2xb7 Occasionally. Attend required meetings.
xc2xb7 Occasionally. Complete all necessary paperwork relating to beverage operations.
xc2xb7 Occasionally. Conduct performance appraisals.
xc2xb7 Occasionally. Supervise set up of happy hour buffet to ensure Company standards are met.
xc2xb7 Occasionally. Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor to include cross training.
Qualifications:
xc2xb7 Food/Beverage Service Worker permit, where applicable.
xc2xb7 Requires high school reasoning level.
xc2xb7 Requires 8th grade language level.
xc2xb7 Requires 8th grade math level.
xc2xb7 Working knowledge of wine, liquor and inventory methods.
xc2xb7 Read, write and speak English fluently.
xc2xb7 Meet minimum age requirement of jurisdiction.
xc2xb7 Previous supervisory/management experience.
xc2xb7 Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other employees.
