We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager to oversee our bar operations, ensuring exceptional customer service and a high-quality beverage experience. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the food and beverage industry, with a focus on leadership, team management, and operational efficiency. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing daily bar activities, staff supervision, and maintaining compliance with food safety standards.
Duties
Oversee daily bar operations, including inventory management and ordering supplies
Train, supervise, and mentor bar staff to ensure high standards of service and performance
Maintain a clean and organized bar area in compliance with health and safety regulations
Develop and implement creative drink menus while ensuring quality control of all beverages served
Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems, including Micros POS
Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving any issues promptly
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods
Conduct interviews and assist in the hiring process for new bar staff
Monitor staff performance and provide constructive feedback to foster professional growth
Ensure adherence to food handling and safety guidelines within the bar environment
Experience
Candidates should have:
Proven experience in restaurant management or bar management roles
Strong background in food service, including food preparation and cooking skills
Experience with cash handling procedures and financial reporting
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the hospitality industry
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
Prior experience in supervising staff within a fast-paced environment is essential
Familiarity with customer service principles and practices in the food industry
Previous experience as a barista or within hotel settings is a plus
