DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (include but not limited to the following):
Reporting to the Executive Sous Chef
The Bar Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring that the food is of high quality, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. The candidate is passionate about cooking and can work in a fast-paced environment. The following list of day-to-day job responsibilities may differ slightly depending on the scope of daily operational needs:
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts at the Crazy Raven Bar
Ensure that all food is of high quality and meets our standards based on guides/manuals provided by Cypress Mountain
Follow recipes and cooking techniques to ensure consistency
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen/station
Stock and organize storage rooms, refrigerators and freezers
Ensure that all equipment is in good working order and report any issues to management
Assist with maintaining par levels for food production
Collaborate with other kitchen staff and servers to ensure that all orders are prepared and served in a timely manner while addressing challenges and help with creating solutions as a team
Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines such as temperature checks and safe work procedures.
Manage bar kitchen inventory and par levels.
Manage food sanitization and safety plans within the bar kitchen.
Health & Safety/Risk Management
Adhere to OHS company policies, programs, and procedures, including documentation.

Other duties, as assigned, to meet business needs.

QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES:

Ability to work a flexible schedule according to the demands of the business.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 2 years' experience as a line cook in an F&B team.
Experience in kitchen operations in pubs, bars, ski resorts, or hotels.
Background in Pacific Northwest or American cuisine preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Food Safe Certification Level 1
Legally able to work in Canada.
WAGE/BENEFITS:
Wage: $19/hr
