What We're Looking For

We're hiring a

Line Cook

who is reliable, versatile, and excited about the opportunity to develop into a

Sushi Chef

. The ideal candidate has at least 2+ years of kitchen experience, enjoys hands-on prep and production work, and values consistency, precision, and teamwork.

This role involves food prep, working the line, handling seafood, operating fryers, and supporting back-of-house operations. For the right person, this position offers

structured training and growth into sushi preparation and chef responsibilities.



Key Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients, cut fish, and assist in sushi assembly according to restaurant standards Operate kitchen equipment (e.g., fryer, rice cooker, knives) safely and efficiently Support sushi chefs with prep, plating, and service execution Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization in the kitchen and dishwashing areas Follow proper food handling and safety procedures at all times Communicate and collaborate with the BOH team to ensure smooth service Assist with general cleaning and closing duties as needed
Requirements

Fluent English REQUIRED

(spoken and written)

Minimum 2 years kitchen experience required

Prior experience with Japanese cuisine, seafood prep, or sushi is a

strong asset

Strong knife skills or interest in developing them Solid knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures Reliable, professional, and able to work well under pressure Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
