Wondering what a
Banquet Server at the Willows
actually does?
As a Banquet Server you will help to create a special event that our Guests will remember. Your ability to work as a team player combined with your service skills and your engaging personality will ensure that our guests have a memorable experience. Be yourself, have fun and create a lasting impression whereby our guests can't wait to come back. Your passion for the guest experience is the cornerstone of our success.
Here are a few of the duties to expect:
Prepare coffee breaks, carts, and stations with appropriate food and beverages as stated in Banquet Event Order
Prepare tables, action stations, buffets, service carts, dessert table/carts and cordial carts
Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen
Respond to and try to fulfill any special banquet event arrangements
Replenish buffet items to ensure consistency and freshness in presentation
Monitor tableware to ensure it is presentable to guests
Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned station and service areas
Bus tables by removing and separating tableware, plateware, glassware, and flatware.
Knowledge of property including amenities and hours of operation
Handling guest concerns with and without the support of the management team
Providing the highest quality of service at all times and in all guest interactions
Ensure food is presented with an exceptional level of detail prior to delivering to guests
Perform closing procedures including building walk through and locking main doors
Other tasks as required to properly execute all other duties and responsibilities
We also think it's important to know:
Must meet minimum provincial age for serving alcohol
Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays
Must be able to carry and lift items weighing 20lbs; must be able to stoop and bend
Must be able to stand and move for extended periods of time to continuously perform essential job functions
Will require current and valid Serve it Right certification
Our golf season goes into October with events continuing into the Christmas season; preference will be given to applicants that stay with us to the end of our season and our interested in full time hours.
