Summary of Responsibilities:


Reporting to the Banquet Manager and Assistant Banquet Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Consistently offering professional, friendly and engaging service Regularly reviewing and updating banquet BEO board to reflect current changes Assist with the service of all food and beverage items for assigned banquet meetings Following all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverages and undertaking other physical assignments Planning and executing various staff assignments relevant to service and setups Cross training and exposure to restaurant practices and services Liaise with on-site A/V technicians for guest requests, troubleshooting and set-up parameters Establishing a point of contact with convenors and reviewing event specifications Providing venue information and citing local history to better the meeting experience Fulfilling the role as a mentor to employees and providing regular coaching in all areas of work including but not limited to training, service recovery and cultural awareness Knowledge or interest in indigenous language exchange and traditional cultural practices Familiarity and flexibility with computers are a must as there is an administrative demand for the position which includes reporting, use of email, processing billing and printing pertinent documents for conferences and operations Experience in bartending required to oversee banquet bar operations for quality assurance and reconciling process at the end of service Reporting any inefficiencies with positive contribution to departmental practices and policies to the respective channels Attending all pertinent internal meetings and pre-cons Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:



Previous experience an asset and a minimum of 1 year in a supervisory or similar role Minimum of 1 year of bartending experience in a similar establishment or restaurant Must have the following valid certificates: SIRS, WHMIS, Food Safety Previous experience with a point of sale system an asset but not required Excellent communication and organizational skills Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities Highly responsible & reliable Willingness to learn and grow with the organization Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team Ability to focus attention on guest needs Ability to work weekends, weekdays, mornings, evenings, overnights, overtime, holidays Must have drivers license and reliable transportation to and from shifts Successful applicant will procure a recent CPIC dated within 6 months Successful applicant subject to 4 Seasons of Reconciliation Training

Must be eligible to work in Canada


Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):



Constant standing and walking throughout shift Constant lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps Physically moving around the hotel to assist guest
