Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Banquet Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and management of all banquet events. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food service and hospitality, with exceptional leadership skills to manage a team effectively. This role requires excellent customer service abilities and a keen eye for detail to ensure that every event runs smoothly and meets our high standards.

Duties

Coordinate and manage all aspects of banquet events, including setup, service, and breakdown. Supervise and train staff in food preparation, serving techniques, and customer service excellence. Ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper handling procedures. Manage inventory levels for food and beverage supplies, placing orders as necessary. Utilize POS systems (including Micros POS) for efficient order processing and cash handling. Conduct interviews and assist in the hiring process for new staff members. Foster a positive working environment through effective team management and leadership. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and presentation. Address guest inquiries or complaints promptly to enhance customer satisfaction.

Experience

Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the food industry. Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations. Experience with supervising teams and managing staff effectively. Familiarity with cash handling procedures and POS systems is essential. Previous experience in hospitality settings such as hotels or banquet facilities is preferred. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling is required. Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service. Barista experience is a plus but not mandatory.
