The Banquet Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of banquet operations, ensuring exceptional service and a seamless experience for guests. This role involves coordinating events, managing staff, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for hospitality, with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service.
Duties
Plan and coordinate all banquet events, including setup, service, and breakdown.
Supervise and train banquet staff to ensure efficient operations and excellent guest service.
Oversee food preparation and presentation, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
Manage inventory, including food supplies and equipment needed for events.
Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain financial records as required.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to create menus that meet client expectations.
Conduct interviews and participate in the hiring process for new team members.
Address guest inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise during events.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet areas in compliance with health regulations.
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within the food industry.
Strong supervisory experience with a focus on team management in a restaurant or hotel environment.
Proficient in using POS systems, specifically Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with guests.
Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork and motivate staff to perform at their best.
Background in restaurant management or kitchen experience is highly desirable.
Familiarity with hospitality standards and practices within the banquet setting.
Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Barista experience is a plus but not required. This position requires a dedicated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment while ensuring that every guest has an unforgettable experience.
