Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General, Community Safety and Crime Prevention Branch (CSCP) aims to build and enhance safe communities, reduce the impacts of crime and violence, and promote crime prevention in British Columbia through a range of programs and services.

The Manager Business Operations is responsible for developing and implementing a full range of human resource, finance, information technology, facilities services and provides leadership and strategic direction on emerging workforce initiatives. The Manager develops workforce plans, policies, and procedures; and oversees Branch operations including facilities planning, occupational health and safety, and administrative support.

Job Requirements:

  • Post secondary degree or diploma in a related field (such as, public administration, business administration, human resources), and at least two (2) years *related experience. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
  • Related experience includes:
  • Experience supervising and leading staff.
  • Demonstrated experience communicating effectively both verbally and in writing, using a variety of communication tools, and to make presentations, both formal and informal.
  • Experience in a variety of corporate and operational disciplines (e.g., facilities, information technology, human resources, finance, records management, business continuity, etc.).
  • Experience providing advice and recommendations to executives and senior managers on corporate and branch initiatives, operational issues and trends.
