Job Description



The Ballet Instructor position offers an exciting opportunity to influence the next generation of dancers within a dynamic and artistic environment. As a key member of our dance faculty, the instructor will be responsible for teaching ballet techniques to our competitive students, fostering a passion for dance, and encouraging creativity and expression through movement. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of ballet pedagogy and the ability to instill not only technical proficiency but also a strong appreciation for the artistry and discipline that ballet entails. The instructor will design engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans that cater to the needs of diverse learners, ensuring that each student is supported in their development. Building strong relationships with students and creating a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere are vital components of this role. Collaborating with fellow faculty members to organize performances and events will also be a key highlight of this position. The Ballet Instructor will play a significant part in nurturing the talent and ambition of aspiring dancers, contributing to their growth not just as performers but as well-rounded individuals rooted in the rich tradition of ballet.

Responsibilities



Develop and implement comprehensive ballet curricula for various age groups and skill levels. Conduct engaging ballet classes that emphasize technique, performance, and artistry. Provide constructive feedback to students to foster improvement and enhance their dancing skills. Prepare students for recitals, performances, and competitions, ensuring they are stage-ready. Assess students' progress through regular evaluations and adjust teaching methods accordingly. Collaborate with colleagues to produce school-wide performances and events that showcase student talent. Maintain a safe, professional, and positive classroom environment conducive to learning.

Requirements



Strong background in ballet, with significant training and performance experience. Previous teaching experience in ballet or dance education is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students. Knowledge of various ballet styles and techniques, along with an appreciation for dance history and theory. Ability to create and adapt lesson plans to meet the needs of diverse student populations.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $35.00-$55.00 per hour
