Overview


We are seeking a skilled and motivated Bakery Supervisor to lead our bakery team in delivering high-quality baked goods and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have strong culinary and pastry experience, with a focus on food safety, food preparation, and kitchen management. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee daily bakery operations, ensure product consistency, and maintain a welcoming environment for customers. The Bakery Supervisor will play a key role in maintaining the bakery's reputation for excellence and innovation.

Responsibilities



Supervise daily bakery operations, ensuring all products meet quality standards and safety regulations Oversee food production processes, including baking, pastry creation, cake decorating, and packaging Manage inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as needed to prevent shortages Train and mentor bakery staff on food handling, food safety practices, and proper use of equipment Ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines in all aspects of bakery activities Coordinate with the culinary team to develop new recipes and seasonal offerings Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery workspace in compliance with sanitation standards Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and offering product recommendations Assist in catering orders and special event preparations as required Monitor staff performance, schedule shifts, and support team development initiatives

Experience



Proven experience in food production, baking, or pastry arts within a bakery or restaurant setting Strong cake decorating skills and proficiency in food presentation techniques Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures Experience with packaging baked goods for retail or wholesale distribution Prior supervisory or leadership experience in a culinary environment preferred Familiarity with kitchen equipment operation, knife skills, and general culinary techniques Background in catering or restaurant operations is advantageous Excellent customer service skills with the ability to lead a team effectively Culinary or pastry certification is a plus but not required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.85-$26.63 per hour

Expected hours: 24 - 40 per week
