We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Bakery Supervisor to oversee daily bakery operations, ensuring the production of high-quality baked goods and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, pastry arts, and kitchen management, with a passion for culinary excellence. As a Bakery Supervisor, you will lead a team of bakers and kitchen staff, maintain food safety standards, and ensure efficient workflow within the bakery environment.
Duties
Supervise and coordinate bakery staff to ensure timely and accurate production of baked goods.
Oversee cake decorating, pastry preparation, and food production processes to maintain quality standards.
Manage packaging of baked items for retail display or catering orders.
Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and proper handling of ingredients and finished products.
Assist with food preparation tasks, including baking, cooking, and assembling bakery items.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers for ingredient replenishment.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery workspace in compliance with health regulations.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and assisting with product selection when needed.
Train new staff on baking techniques, safety procedures, and operational standards.
Support catering events or restaurant services as required.
Requirements
Proven experience in baking, pastry arts, or culinary roles within the food industry.
Strong cake decorating skills and proficiency in food presentation.
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
Experience with packaging, food preparation, and kitchen operations.
Excellent knife skills and familiarity with baking equipment.
Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a bakery or restaurant setting preferred.
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude.
