Your Role as Bakery Manager
We are looking for a passionate Bakery Manager who is looking for the next challenge in their career and step into a leadership role and develop a strong bakery team. Working as part of the production and senior team, you'll play a big part in making our products best in class. Your leadership and can-do attitude will support the bakery in all aspect of operations, so get ready to roll up your sleeves and dive in!

Key Responsibilities:
Lead, motivate, and develop a team of bakers and support staff
Oversee daily bakery operations, ensuring efficiency and quality control
Innovate and develop new baked goods in line with market trends and customer demands
Maintain relationships with cafes and wholesale clients, ensuring exceptional service, quality and consistency
Manage inventory, ordering, and supplier relationships to optimize costs and reduce waste
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
Collaborate with senior management to drive growth
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience as a bakery manager, head baker, or similar leadership role
Passion for baking and creativity in product development
Strong leadership and team-building skills
Ability to manage high-volume hands-on production while maintaining quality
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
Ability to work early mornings and weekends as needed

What you bring to the table
You are a passionate for baking.
You have 2+ years' supervisory experience in a similar role, ideally in the baking, food production, food service or the hospitality industry
You have 3+ years' experience in commercial baking
You are a great communicator, problem solver and critical thinker
You demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills in building camaraderie amongst the team
You are a capable people manager and leader with proven experience in recruitment and selection, retention, staff development and disciplinary and termination procedures
You have knowledge of basic financial management skills, understand the fundamentals of profitability.
You are experienced in basic computer tasks including email, word, excel, and data analysis
You demonstrate and embed the company values throughout the department and the company as a whole
You pay attention to detail, able to clearly present information
You have the ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively to achieve results
You are flexible across a 7-day schedule (we do aim for a set schedule; however, this industry does require the need for flexibility on occasion)
You are willing to be available for a 5am start, and weekend availability
You have your own vehicle
Physical Requirements
Continuous standing/ walking for all tasks
Constant use of both hands
Frequent lifting and carrying up to 7.5 kg., reaching below shoulder level, bending and turning
Occasional lifting and carrying up to 22 kg, pushing, pulling, crouching, bending and reaching below shoulder level
