Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bakery Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support the daily operations of our bakery, ensuring that our products are prepared, decorated, and presented to the highest standards. You will work closely with experienced bakers and contribute to creating delicious baked goods that delight our customers.

Duties

Assist in the preparation of various bakery items including bread, pastries, and cakes. Participate in cake decorating and presentation to ensure visual appeal. Handle food safely and maintain high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen. Package baked goods for sale while ensuring proper labeling and presentation. Provide excellent customer service by interacting with customers and assisting them with their orders. Follow recipes accurately to maintain consistency in product quality. Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow in the bakery.

Skills

Proficiency in cake decorating techniques is a plus. Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is highly desirable. Knowledge of food preparation and cooking methods relevant to baking. Strong customer service skills to enhance the customer experience. Familiarity with food handling practices and food safety regulations. Experience in the food industry, particularly in baking or pastry production. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.85-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
