Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bakery Assistant to join our team, The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and food preparation, along with a commitment to providing excellent customer service. This role involves assisting in the daily operations of the bakery, ensuring that products are prepared, decorated, and presented to the highest standards.
Duties
Assist in the preparation and baking of various bakery items. Ensure all food handling practices comply with food safety regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and bakery area. Package baked goods for display and sale while ensuring quality standards are met. Support kitchen staff with food preparation tasks as needed. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting shortages to management.
Qualifications
Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques is essential. Previous bakery experience, food preparation and kitchen operations is an asset. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A passion for the food industry and a willingness to learn new skills related to baking and food preparation.
Job Types: Part-time, Casual, Seasonal
Contract length: 3 months
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 - 20 per week
