is a Coquitlam based start-up food company specializing in clean label, artisanal baked goods production.
We are currently looking for someone who wants to expand their skills in bakery manufacturing and production, food safety, and bakery operation for the food service industry. We are seeking a passionate and organized individual who will work with us in our small team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare baked goods, (shells, meringue, buttercream, custard, puddings, cakes, granola, brownies) and report to production manager
- Assistance with packaging bakery goods, labels
- Follow recipes and instructions properly
- Clean, organize and dishwashing
- Follow sanitation plans and performance checks
Work Requirements and Expectations:
While we prefer 1 year of professional baking experience, we value your attitude and related experience to learn and adapt. We will be able to provide further training if you do not currently possess the full knowledge in wholesale baking.
Being a production staff means you will be participating fully in the production process (work with baking equipment such as ovens, mixers, dishwashing sink) throughout. You must be physically fit, be able to lift 20-25 kg and stand on your feet for long periods.
Attention to detail and cleanliness is key as you must work to meet order production schedules, sanitation plans, complete baking job duties, maintain records of food and packaging inventory, maintain production equipment and workplace safety.
Language and communication skills is key as you will be conducting checks with the baking team and working with a small group of individuals to fulfill order deadlines. You must be on time everyday, be a good team player, and have a positive can-do attitude in all situations.
Work Attire:
We are a production manufacturing facility and stand by strict uniform requirements. You must wear a hair net and/or work cap/ hat and chef jacket/ apron during production. Frequent hand washing is required and strict personal hygiene is expected.
Pay level:
1). Production Staff - starting wage $17.85/hr, 2-week paid training period
2). 3-month probationary period to see if you are fit for the position
3). Opportunity for growth and promotion as FT production worker after 3 months
4). Opportunity for long-term growth and diversifying skill set for various positions including QA/ Marketing / Business Development Management / Account Manager

Starting Pay - $17.85 to $18.50 /hr based on experience
Shift Hours: Monday- Friday
Shift length : flexible, 4-8 hours, available shifts for both daytime and night time
Shifts : minimum 2/ week / max 5/week
