Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Bakery Assistant to join our vibrant bakery team. The ideal candidate will support daily bakery operations, assist with food preparation, and ensure the highest standards of food safety and customer service. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in baking, cake decorating, and food handling within a dynamic food industry environment.

Responsibilities

Assist in preparing baked goods, including mixing, shaping, and assembling products Handle food safely and maintain cleanliness in all food preparation areas Package baked items for sale or delivery with attention to presentation and freshness Maintain inventory of ingredients and supplies, restocking as needed Ensure all equipment is clean, sanitized, and properly maintained Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products and assisting customers when needed Follow all food safety regulations and store products appropriately to prevent contamination

Requirements

Prior experience in a bakery, restaurant, or food service environment is preferred but not required Knowledge of baking techniques, and food preparation is a plus Strong understanding of food safety standards and proper handling procedures Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor Kitchen experience or familiarity with the food industry is advantageous Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks with accuracy Food handling certification or willingness to obtain certification is preferred
