Responsibilities
Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, and other desserts
Decorate cakes and desserts with creative designs using various techniques and tools
Handle food preparation tasks such as mixing, measuring, and assembling ingredients
Ensure all food handling procedures comply with safety and sanitation standards
Package baked goods for retail or catering purposes while maintaining presentation quality
Assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and work area
Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with product selections and answering questions
Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency in product quality
Support team members during busy periods to ensure timely production and service
Skills
Proven experience in cake decorating and baking techniques
Restaurant or food service experience is highly desirable
Strong knowledge of food handling, safety, and sanitation protocols
Ability to prepare food efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
Kitchen experience including food preparation, cooking, and packaging skills
Familiarity with the food industry standards for hygiene and safety regulations
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks effectively
