Job Description

Ethier Sand & Gravel is looking for a hard-working, self-motivated employee with a proven record of safety and reliability to fill the position of Night Shift Truck Driver In the Garson, Ontario Area. This Full-time seasonal position comes with competitive wages, a pension, and a benefits package.

JOB DUTIES:

Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, complete vehicle inspection reports, and report unsafe conditions and accidents Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, including the amount of material, the time of delivery and any other pertinent information. Constantly monitor vehicle fitness and ever-changing conditions. Effectively communicate with supervisors, coworkers, and clients to ensure delivery of materials. Work in accordance with all internal, client and regulated health and safety policies, procedures, and/or regulations, including both wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Work schedule of 5pm - 5am Monday night to Friday morning, including weekends when required. Work in various weather conditions. Display professionalism toward our company and customers. Travel to work sites with overnight stays when required. Perform related duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

Valid AZ or DZ class driver's license with a clean drivers' abstract is required. Prior experience operating a triaxle or other DZ driving roles is considered an asset. Highschool diploma or equivalent is considered an asset. Surface Miner Common Core is considered an asset.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledgeable and respectful of the Highway Traffic Act and municipality by laws. Ability to transport material with attention to detail and emphasis on safety. Ability to manage risks and adapt to unexpected changes. Proven ability to work well in a team environment. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a cheerful outlook and providing exemplary customer service. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal staff and external stakeholders. An ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously and deal effectively with people using a facilitative approach. Ability to repetitively lift, carry, and move objects up to 50 lbs. Intermediate computer proficiency (MS Office - Word, Excel, and Outlook). Ability to adapt to last-minute changes as dictated by the needs of our customers.
