Position Overview:

We are seeking a reliable, experienced AZ Truck Driver to join our team. As an AZ Truck Driver at Service Mold + Aerospace Inc., you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our parts are delivered to our customers safely and on time. Temporary position for 3 months.

Responsibilities:

Conducting short runs and occasional longer hauls, ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods. Most runs are cross-border within a 50 mile radius. Long-haul trips to Montreal approximately once or twice per month. Wide load shipments once or twice per month. Performing quick local trips for pickup of necessary supplies as required. Assisting with packaging, loading, and unloading cargo for delivery to and pickup from customers. Planning routes to ensure efficient delivery of goods. Performing routine inspections of the vehicles, including checking tires, brakes, lights, and other components. Maintaining accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance. Adhering to all safety and traffic laws and regulations as well as company policies. Assisting with general labour duties within the shop when no driving duties are available.
Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years of experience as a truck driver, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting. Knowledge of and willingness to adhere to traffic laws, safety regulations and procedures. Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance. Experience conducting wide load/oversize runs, including knowledge of permits and other regulations related to wide load shipments. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Flexibility to perform general labour duties as needed. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Availability to work occasional weekends/overtime as required to meet our customer's needs.
Requirements:

Valid AZ driver's license with a clean driving record is required. Ability to cross the border is a must. Forklift and overhead crane certification preferred. FAST card holder preferred. Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English is required. Ability to converse in French (for Montreal deliveries) considered an asset. Will be required to complete a Driver History Supplement for our insurance company. Criminal records check (police clearance) required.
