Job Summary

We are seeking a

dedicated and experienced AZ Truck Driver Instructor

to join our team for

yard-only practical training

.
This part-time role is perfect for an experienced professional who enjoys teaching and mentoring new drivers in a hands-on environment.

The instructor will be responsible for training students in

yard maneuvers, vehicle inspection, coupling/uncoupling, and backing techniques

, ensuring each trainee is well-prepared for their road test and future driving career.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct

yard training sessions

focusing on pre-trip inspections, coupling/uncoupling, backing, parking, and maneuvering. Provide clear demonstrations and step-by-step instruction for all practical exercises. Assess trainees' progress and provide

constructive feedback

to help improve their performance. Ensure safety standards are followed at all times during training. Maintain accurate records of students' performance and attendance. Communicate effectively with trainees and management to ensure a smooth training process.

Qualifications

Minimum

5 years of AZ driving experience

(experience as a Trainer or Instructor preferred). Must hold a

valid Class AZ License

in good standing. Strong understanding of

yard operations, pre-trip inspection procedures

, and safe vehicle handling. Excellent communication and teaching skills.

Bilingual (English & French)

preferred.

Availability on weekends

required (some weekday availability is an asset).
