Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while transporting goods across various routes. This role requires operating commercial vehicles and may involve handling freight, operating heavy equipment, and performing basic automotive repairs as needed. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the integrity of the cargo.

Responsibilities

Operate commercial trucks to transport goods safely and efficiently to designated locations. Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety compliance. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes, and cargo details as per regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered on the road. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving. Perform basic maintenance and automotive repairs on the vehicle as needed to ensure optimal performance.

Skills

Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License). Strong understanding of freight handling procedures and safety regulations. Ability to operate forklifts and heavy equipment safely. Basic knowledge of automotive repair techniques for troubleshooting vehicle issues. Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients. Attention to detail in maintaining logs, inspections, and compliance records.
