Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting freight to various destinations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the integrity of the cargo. This role requires a strong focus on safety, vehicle maintenance, and efficient route management.

Responsibilities

Transporting of steel plate which requires chaining and some tarping. Safely operate commercial trucks to deliver freight across designated routes in Southern Ontario. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each trip. Experience with electronic logs. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and warehouse personnel regarding delivery schedules and issues. Operations are structured for Monday to Friday; allowing weekends at home. Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws during transportation activities.

Qualifications

3 years minimum experience. Class A drivers license with Z endorsement with clean Drivers Abstract and CVOR. Experience in commercial driving and freight transportation. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for documentation purposes. Excellent communication skills and reliability in meeting delivery deadlines. Professional presentation.

Expected hours: 30 - 50 per week
