Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team for DEDICATED RUNS from GTA to NL/NS. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle freight with care. The Truck Driver will also be expected to perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance.

Responsibilities

Operate commercial trucks to transport goods to designated locations in a timely manner. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, ensuring all equipment is functioning properly. Load and unload freight, utilizing forklifts and other heavy equipment as necessary. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery schedules. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while ensuring the safety of the vehicle and cargo. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery status and any issues that arise during transport. Perform minor automotive repairs as needed to keep the vehicle in good working condition.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required. Experience in commercial driving with a clean driving record preferred. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including forklifts. Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to perform basic automotive repairs. Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Must be able to pass background checks and drug screenings as required by company policy.
