The Position:

Reporting to the Director of Logistics, this role plays a crucial role in the shipping process, and customer satisfaction. Not just a job but a chance for a RELIABLE and attentive person to have a lifelong well-paying career.

Duties:

Operate and drive primarily tractor-trailer, long-combination vehicle and straight-body trucks weighing over 4500 kg to transport goods and materials over short and long distances. Will be required to shunt trailers around shipping yard, as needed. Dispatch to plan trips, logistics and obtain required documentation to transport goods. Driver to follow through and ensure proper paperwork is delivered to customer. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection of vehicle systems, equipment, cargo and accessories such as tires, lights, turn signals and brakes. Ensure cargo is secured properly in accordance with safety requirements and follow safety procedures. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption Administer bills of lading and manually or electronically maintain log books Communicate with dispatcher, other drivers and customers using communication devices. May drive as part of a two-person team or convoy Primarily Monday-Friday 7:30am - 5pm, however overtime and weekend work also available

Qualifications:

Valid AZ license Clean Diver's Extract Physically able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs, and to move pallets with a pump truck A willing to learn, roll up your sleeves and get involved personality Fluent in speaking and reading English Basic math skills Attention to detail Good organizational skills and ability to multi-task
References required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00-$26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
