About the Department

Our department supports business users with the regulatory reporting in North America. We are working on the automating, streamlining and maintenance of the processes so that all required data and tools for regulatory reports are available for users in one application.

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

The Senior Regulatory Reporting Business Analyst is responsible for managing regulatory reporting projects from planning to implementation, leading team members and ensuring the final product enables users to do all required reporting and analysis.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Analysis activities
  • Lead the implementation of regulatory reporting processes
  • Review and write business requirements
  • Review and write functional specifications
  • Liaise with testing team coordinator to set up SIT and UAT
  • Organize Axiom IT testing
  • Create test cases, perform SIT testing and support user acceptance testing
  • Analyze technical solutions to ensure they meet functional needs
  • Lead brainstorming sessions and attending project meetings
  • Organize processes and define run books
  • Perform impact analysis
Design activities
  • Define business flows, data flows and architecture
  • Present conceptual and functional solutions to support business requirements
  • Convert functional requirements to design and high level technical requirements
  • Promote dynamic and scalable solutions
Project Management
  • Support project manager on project and activities planning
  • Function as a project manager for smaller enhancements or projects
  • Project management tool set up and maintenance
  • Organize user training
Qualifications

Mandatory skills
  • Bachelor degree in Business/Finance/Accounting
  • 5-10 years' experience in technology (preferable with a Bank/FBO/Broker Dealer)
  • 5 years of experience in regulatory reporting projects
  • Excellent knowledge of Axiom Software (Controller View)
  • Able to communicate with various stakeholders
  • English/French
Nice to have
  • Knowledge and experience in SDLC or agile methodology
  • Experience with HP ALM testing tool and Clarity PM tool preferable
  • SQL knowledge
  • Ability to work independently and with others
  • Extremely organized with strong time-management skills
  • Detail oriented and analytical thinking
  • Problem solving skills
  • Have good leadership skills
