AV Specialist - Onsite | Calgary, Alberta

Location: Calgary, AB

Type: Full-Time (Onsite, 5 Days/Week)

Compensation: $50,000 - $75,000 annually (based on experience and expertise)

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Audio-Visual (AV) Specialist to join our client's dynamic technology and facilities team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and enhancing AV systems across meeting rooms, boardrooms, and collaboration spaces -- ensuring flawless delivery of audio, video, and conferencing experiences for hybrid teams.

This is a 100% onsite position in Calgary. Candidates must be available to work in person at the client location five days a week.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced corporate environment and enjoys blending technology with user experience.

Key Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and maintain AV systems for meetings, events, and presentations. Troubleshoot hardware/software issues for video conferencing (Zoom, Teams, WebEx, etc.). Configure and support AV control systems (Crestron, Extron, AMX). Manage digital displays, sound systems, microphones, and projectors. Perform preventive maintenance, testing, and upgrades for all AV equipment. Collaborate with IT and facilities teams to ensure seamless AV integration with networks. Provide end-user training and support for hybrid meeting setups. Coordinate with vendors for repairs, installations, and new AV projects.
Required Skills & Experience

4+ years of hands-on experience in AV system installation and support. Proficiency with conferencing tools (Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, Cisco WebEx). Working knowledge of control systems (Crestron, Extron, AMX). Strong understanding of audio/video signal flow, cabling, and networked AV. Familiarity with AV-over-IP technologies (Dante, NDI, etc.). Excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills. Certifications such as CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) or equivalent are an asset.
