General Summary:

Qualcomm's Automotive SW is seeking candidates with strong software development knowledge and hands-on experience in scientific mathematical computation software on an embedded system targeted primarily Automotive market.

Expect to interact closely with a multitude of teams spanning different business units across the world in a world-class, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities in this role shall include the following:

• Design and implement APIs and sample code as SDK on Linux x86 and QNX ARM platforms.
• Implement and optimize Math libraries SDK for Autonomous driving and ADAS.
• Document the APIs and use cases as reference for the customers.
• Closely collaborate with feature owners and domain/technology experts to define/validate APIs across software and hardware SoC platforms.
• Optimize algorithm implementation on SIMD processors such as ARM NEON and Hexagon DSP on Snapdragon platform.

Must have skills:

• Strong C++ programming skills.
• Development/Debugging on embedded system.

Work Experiences:

• 5+ years of Systems engineering or related work experience.
• 3+ years software or mathematical software algorithms development experience e.g. Linear Algebra, Graphs, Geometry etc.
• Excellent C++ and Object-Oriented Programming skills demonstrated through relevant industry experience.
• Embedded and real time systems coding experience.
• Strong skills in performance analysis and code optimization.
• Strong background of Debugging, C++ architecture and deeper understanding of design patterns and modern software abstractions.
• Strong analytical skills, mathematical knowledge of scientific and math computation software and performance optimization on various architectures
• Expert in DSP assembly/intrinsic and C/C++ programming for scientific computation software.
• 3+ years of hands on experience on DSP algorithms development and optimization.
• Experience with C++11/C++14/C++17
• Experience with version control software such as Git.
• Familiar with CI/CD process.
• Expert in Code Optimization and high performance compute on x86, ARM and DSP environments.
• Experience with GP-GPU programming.
• Testing and debugging on embedded systems
• Experience with software process improvements through measurable KPIs
• Experience with embedded RTOS programming environments.

Minimum Qualifications: . Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

• 2+ years of experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
