Summary



We are seeking an Automotive Service Manager to join our team at Village Chrysler. The Automotive Service Manager oversees the daily operations of the service department to ensure efficiency, profitability, and high-quality customer service. This role is responsible for managing Shop Foreman, Service Advisors, Warranty Administrator, Technicians, Apprentices, Detailers, Porters, and support staff, while maintaining compliance with manufacturer standards, dealership policies, and safety regulations.

Responsibilities



Direct and supervise service department operations, including scheduling workflow and productivity Ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction by resolving concerns promptly and maintaining strong client relationships Manage and mentor service staff to foster a collaborative work environment. Ensure high-quality automotive repairs and services are delivered consistently. Monitor and achieve department performance goals, including revenue, profitability, CSI, and productivity targets Prepare and review financial reports, budgets, and forecasts for the service department. Maintain compliance with manufacturer warranty and policy guidelines Monitor service department performance metrics and implement improvements as needed. Implement and monitor standard operating procedures for quality control and safety Maintain compliance with safety regulations and dealership policies. Oversee parts ordering and inventory management in coordination with the Parts Department Develop service promotions and initiatives to increase and enhance customer retention and department sales Conduct regular staff meetings and training to promote teamwork, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications



Proven experience in a dealership environment with a strong background in automotive service management. Strong leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution skills. In-depth knowledge of automotive repair processes, warranties, and safety standards. Extensive mechanical knowledge with hands-on mechanic experience preferred. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction. Sales experience is an asset but not mandatory. Ability to analyze performance metrics and implement effective strategies. Proficiency in dealership management systems and Microsoft Office Suite Valid G Driver's licence or higher with a clean driving record
