We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our dealership team. The Service Advisor acts as the primary point of contact between customers and our service department, ensuring a seamless experience from vehicle check-in to vehicle pick-up. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, automotive knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. Experience in dealership operations, mechanic background, or automotive repair is highly valued to effectively communicate with both customers and technicians.
Duties
Greet customers promptly and professionally upon arrival, establishing a positive rapport.
Listen carefully to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues and service needs.
Provide detailed explanations of recommended repairs and maintenance services, ensuring customer understanding.
Prepare service orders, estimate costs, and communicate timelines clearly.
Upsell additional services or maintenance based on vehicle needs while maintaining integrity and customer trust.
Coordinate with the automotive technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of work.
Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments efficiently.
Follow up with customers regarding vehicle status, additional recommendations, or future service needs.
Maintain organized records of service visits, customer interactions, and sales activities.
Ensure the cleanliness and professionalism of the service area at all times.
Qualifications
Previous dealership experience is preferred but not mandatory; strong customer service skills are essential.
Mechanical knowledge or mechanic experience is highly advantageous for effective communication with technicians and understanding vehicle issues.
Familiarity with automotive repair processes, parts, and services enhances credibility with customers.
Proven ability in sales, upselling services, and handling cash transactions responsibly.
Excellent communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
