Overview

We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers needing vehicle maintenance and repairs, ensuring a seamless and positive service experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, automotive knowledge, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service. Prior dealership or mechanic experience is highly valued, along with strong sales abilities and mechanical understanding. The Service Advisor will coordinate repairs, upsell services, and handle cash transactions efficiently while maintaining high standards of professionalism.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and listen carefully to understand their vehicle concerns Explain repair and maintenance services clearly, providing recommendations based on mechanical knowledge Prepare detailed work orders and communicate customer needs to technicians effectively Provide accurate estimates of repair costs and timelines Handle cash transactions and process payments securely Follow up with customers on vehicle status and ensure satisfaction upon completion of service Maintain organized records of all service activities and customer interactions

Qualifications

Previous shop experience or mechanic background is preferred Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and repairs Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor Proven ability in sales and handling cash transactions accurately Effective communication skills to explain technical information clearly to customers Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment High school diploma or equivalent; additional automotive certifications are a plus Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
