Job Description

A.Wilson Autobody is looking to hire a Autobody Painter! As a key member of the paint shop team, this position will be responsible for a variety of painting including spraying, mixing, polishing, and operating painting equipment.

Key Responsibilities:



Master of Painting: 90% of your time will be spent on body painting--masking, sanding, applying undercoats, and polishing to create perfect finishes. Tool Time: You'll use high-tech tools, paint mixers, and equipment to achieve quality results every time. Clean & Organized: Keeping your work area spotless and organized is crucial for safety and efficiency. Safety First: Strictly follow health and safety protocols, including wearing the necessary PPE to protect yourself. Quality Checks: Inspect every painted surface with a keen eye for detail, ensuring it meets our top-quality standards before completion. Teamwork: Collaborate with our talented body shop technicians to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of high-quality repairs. Inventory Management: You'll also take responsibility for paint inventory and safely dispose of hazardous materials as needed. Physical Stamina: Get ready to lift, stand, and work in loud environments--this job keeps you moving! Continuous Learning: Keep up with industry trends and learn new techniques to improve your skills and service quality.

Qualifications:


Experience & Certification: Autobody certification preferred, or experience as a Body Shop Painter or Auto-Body Technician.

Valid Driver's License Proficiency with Tools: You should be comfortable with paint spray equipment and have experience in automotive prep/refinish. Mechanical Knowledge: A solid understanding of automotive repair techniques and the ability to troubleshoot problems and find solutions. Attention to Detail: A process-driven approach is key for delivering high-quality work consistently. Physical Capability: You'll need to be able to lift moderate weight and handle the physical demands of the role. Communication Skills: Strong verbal skills for team collaboration and customer interaction. Positive Attitude: Stay adaptable in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, maintaining a positive attitude. Team Player: You should thrive in a collaborative environment, where everyone pitches in to reach shared goals.
