Your Key Responsibilities:

As our Controller, you'll oversee and deliver:

Comprehensive accounting functions, including preparation and analysis of financial statements (monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting).

Payroll processing, including commissions, bonuses, and yearly T4 preparation. Monthly reconciliations of cash, accounts receivables/payables, inventory, payroll, and more. Ensuring timely submission of all tax requirements and compliance with statutory reporting. Management and development of dealership accounting staff. HR functions such as onboarding, benefits administration, and pension plan oversight. Handling IT-related functions, including email accounts, domains, and equipment procurement in collaboration with Ford IT. Collaborating closely with senior management to provide insights and analysis for informed decision-making.

What You'll Bring to the Role:

Experience: Minimum of 5 years in automotive dealership accounting. Honda dealership experience is an asset.

Education: CPA designation preferred. University degree or college diploma in Accounting or Finance required. Skills: Strong verbal and written communication, excellent interpersonal abilities, and advanced leadership qualities. Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of dealership accounting systems (SERTI/PBS preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite. Work Ethic: A self-starter attitude, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
