Office Controller - Full-Time, Permanent



Location: Alberta Office

In this role, you'll combine financial expertise with organizational leadership, guiding our administrative team while ensuring accuracy and efficiency of all office and accounting functions.

What You'll be Doing:



Overseeing day-to-day office operations to ensure smooth workflows

Implementing and upholding company policies, ensuring compliance with corporate standards

Overseeing and ensuring payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable departments are meeting expectations

Preparing accurate financial reports

Maintaining the integrity of all accounting and financial documentation

Organizing office procedures, correspondence and filing systems

Approving supply requisitions and monitoring inventory levels

Supervising, mentoring and supporting administrative staff - including training and performance reviews

Working closely with the Branch Manager

Ensuring document retention and accurate record keeping aligns the best practices

Analyzing reports and identifying trends to support executive decision making

Driving process improvements that enhance accuracy and efficiency across the board

What We're Looking for:



Recommended 5 years of progressive accounting and office management experience

A strong knowledge of payroll, accounts payable/receivable and reporting

Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage, mentor and motivate a team

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)

Strong organizational skills with a track record of improving processes and systems

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:



Certificate or diploma in Office Administration, Accounting or related field (or equivalent experience)

Experience in a professional office setting, ideally within construction or industrial services

Familiarity with document retention protocols and administrative best practices
