Reflex Manufacturing Ltd. ("Reflex"), a 100% privately owned Canadian company, is a major supplier/manufacturer of Reusable Flexible Insulation Systems (insulation blankets) primarily servicing Western Canada's industrial insulation markets. Located in Edmonton, our dedicated field and in-house Design Technicians create insulation blankets to customer specification, which are then manufactured by our highly skilled production team in Reflex's Edmonton-based fabrication facility. About the Role

Reflex currently has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual as

AutoCAD Technician

. Reporting directly to the the Senior Vice President and Operations Manager. The successful candidate will produce drawings for the construction of removable insulation blankets to the specifications of the customers.

What You Will Be Doing

Produce AutoCAD drawings in compliance with the Field Design Technician's drawing or designs completed by customers Follow Reflex's drafting and design standards Review and revise AutoCAD Technicians' drawings for accuracy and completeness Answer any questions that arise in the manufacturing facility with respect to the AutoCAD drawings Create part number drawings and maintain the part number database Ensure compliance with company policies and standards for cost control waste reduction, quality, and safety Assist with Estimating as required Assist estimators using AutoCAD to determine complex shapes dimensions Operating and maintaining the embossing and engraving machines Produce the electronic files for the embosser and engraver to read Print tags using the embossing and engraving machines Ensure high degree of accuracy and efficiency in all work, in accordance with Reflex quality standards Comply with all aspects of Reflex's Health and Safety Program

What We Are Looking For

High attention to detail, regardless of the volume of duties encountered Mathematically inclined Able to adhere to estimating standards and procedures Able to read and understand: General Arrangement Drawings for piping (GAs), Isometric Drawings (ISOs), Piping and Instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) Ability to visualize 2D drawings in 3D Able to work efficiently and meet deadlines Proficient with MS Office , in particular Excel Competency with: AutoCAD and related applications (Plate 'n' Sheet, etc) Strong aptitude in PDF markup program (Bluebeam Revu) Meticulous, accurate drawing skills Motivated and have the ability to work unsupervised Time Management - balances/multi-tasks and prioritizes duties as needed Problem Solving - able to independently find solution to unanticipated issues that arise Strong sense of teamwork and collaboration skills

Preferred Education/Experience

Diploma or degree in Engineering, Design and Drafting Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or equivalent A minimum of 3-5 years of related experience as an AutoCAD Tech; experience working with descriptive geometry Experience working in the oil and gas industry would be a plus Must be a self-starter with the ability to take direction from Senior VP, Operations Manager and Senior AutoCAD Tech Proficient in AutoCAD and related applications
