Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CAD Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in computer-aided design and drafting, with proficiency in various CAD software applications. This role involves creating detailed schematics and drawings, ensuring accuracy and adherence to industry standards.

Responsibilities

Creating detailed engineering drawings and layouts for our glass manufacturing and processing operations using AutoCAD software Developing and preparing engineering designs and drawings from preliminary concepts, sketches, engineering calculations, and specification sheets Producing accurate documentation packages and drawing sets that comply with internal standards and industry best practices Verifying and checking design drawings to ensure alignment with project specifications and quality standards Collaborating with engineers, project managers, and production teams to communicate technical details and support smooth workflow Operating CAD workstations and drafting equipment to efficiently complete assignments Continuously identifying ways to optimize drafting processes and improve quality outcomes

Requirements

Experience of 1-2 years in Auto CAD position Proficiency in AutoCAD is required. A degree or certification in CAD technology or a related field is preferred but not mandatory. High School diploma or GED equivalent is required Broad knowledge of machining techniques and CNC machine tooling Familiarity with 2D and 3D animation techniques is a plus. Extensive experience in glass fabrication or a similar manufacturing environment, with a focus on programming Exceptional analytical skills Clear understanding of drawings; excellent blueprint reading skills Ability to write clear and concise reports, correspondence, and procedures with conformance to the prescribed style and format. Ability to deal with several abstract and concrete variables to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
