Leader: Senior Vice President, Business Banking, Myron Feser
As ATB\xe2\x80\x99s next Associate Vice President (AVP), Head of Real Estate, you lead the Real Estate industries for ATB Financial, which represents complex assets managed in the medium and large enterprise space. You are a key part of the ATB Business Banking leadership team and responsible for the delivery and alignment of the strategic direction of the group, while enabling the team and leaders to deliver on that strategy and drive performance. This role provides direct leadership to multiple teams of Managing Directors and Directors in promoting engagement and performance within their respective teams. You are a recognized industry expert, representing ATB in a variety of industry forums and providing Real Estate expertise to ATB as an enterprise, and are a key resource for consultation on both opportunity and risk. You have the ability to look to the horizon and recommend strategies to solve problems with an eye to both local and global impacts. High collaboration with all Areas of Expertise (AOE\xe2\x80\x99s) to ensure holistic solutions surround our clients in the segment. AVP Accountabilities:

  • Lead in the development and marketing strategies of products and services that will generate significant incremental revenue and margin.
  • Collaborate across ATB and ATB Business and maintain strong networks/relationships with the ability to coordinate and influence activities and market updates.
  • Bring industry expertise and represent ATB in both public and government spaces.
  • Accountable to set performance and revenue targets for their business that align with over ATB Business and ATB strategic direction.
  • Focus on preserving the balance between business development and quality credit decisions and guide their teams in managing this.
  • Coaching, mentorship and leadership of the direct reports.
  • Enable their leaders to drive performance, results and engagement within their teams and set performance targets for their various areas.
Requirements
  • Post secondary education in business
  • 10+ years experience in complex commercial and/or corporate lending
  • Experience leading diverse, remote teams
  • Strong knowledge and experience in capital markets transactions, levered finance, complex deal structures
  • Proven track record of being able to create collaboration and cohesion across different lines of business
  • Proven ability to develop, grow, and performance manage teams and portfolios to enable the success of each individual and team to deliver on their performance goals
  • High degree of negotiation skills to both internal and external audiences
  • Demonstrated continuous learning and growth mindset is required - both for personal and team member development
  • Key communication skills are required for digesting information and translating it to teams and customers in a way that is simple, understandable, and actionable
