Purpose:

Leads and oversees Regulatory and Business Initiatives in Canada ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

What You\'ll Do:

  • Leads and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Manages smaller projects, or smaller workstreams of more complex Programs from initiation and planning, to execution and delivery or provides senior BA support to more complex Programs
  • Manages risks and issues appropriately and provides support to the project manager and manages co-ordination between multiple delivery teams and key stakeholders
  • Independently manages project governance and contributes status updates for senior management
  • Understand how the Bank\'s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Creates an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.
  • Builds a high performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment and using a coaching mindset and behaviours; communicating vison/values/business strategy; and, managing succession and development planning for the team.
  • Manages multiple stakeholders and co-ordinates between multiple functions to manage effective projects
  • Manages local projects or workstreams in global projects or provides senior BA support in more complex Programs
  • Responsible for discrete pieces of work or workstreams, manages across multiple teams
  • Responsible for attending any trade association meetings or peer bank meetings related to the regulatory topic being worked on and sharing knowledge with the RIG team
  • Responsible for contributing to RIG regulatory capital, project best practice and general team tasks within the RIG team
  • Responsible for bringing new regulatory developments and strategic insights to the RIG team to inform team priorities
What you\'ll bring:
  • Project management or business analysis experience
  • Financial management or business analysis experience
  • Experience of regulation, compliance or capital markets experience preferred
Work Arrangement:

This position is currently a Hybrid role, with the expectation that you will work two days a week in the office. Please note that this is subject to change based on the needs of the business.
